Booking & Preparation

Q: How do I book a photoshoot?

A: The easiest way to book is through our online booking portal. You can see our real-time availability, select your desired services, and confirm your appointment in minutes. For multi-property projects or custom requests, please contact us.

Q: How far in advance should I book?

A: We recommend booking at least 3-5 business days in advance, especially during the peak season (typically March-October). During slower months (November-February), we may have next-day availability.

Q: How should I prepare the property?

A: A clean and decluttered property photographs best. We've compiled a detailed Home Preparation Checklist to guide you and your clients through the process. Key steps include decluttering countertops, hiding personal items, ensuring all lightbulbs are working, and cleaning windows. The property should be 100% ready when our photographer arrives.

Q: What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

A: Rescheduling is free up to 24 hours prior to the appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a scheduling fee. For cancellations within 1 hour of the appointment or if we are turned away on-site (lockout), a $50 CAD late-cancellation fee applies. Please ensure the property is accessible at the scheduled time to avoid this fee.

The Photoshoot

Q: How long does a typical shoot take?

A: The duration depends on the size of the property and the services ordered. A standard photoshoot for a home up to 2,500 sq ft usually takes about 60-90 minutes. If you've ordered photos, video, and a 3D tour, please allow for up to 2.5 hours.

Q: Do I (the real estate agent) need to be at the property?

A: You are not required to be present, though you are always welcome! As long as we have access to the property (e.g., a lockbox code or key), our professional photographers can complete the shoot independently. Please provide any specific instructions or highlight key features you want us to capture beforehand.

Q: Can the homeowners be present during the shoot?

A: For the best results and efficiency, we strongly recommend that the property be vacant during the photoshoot. This allows our photographers to move freely and avoid accidental appearances in photos or reflections. If the homeowners must be present, we kindly ask that they remain in an area that is not currently being photographed.

Q: What are your service areas and travel fees?

A: Our standard service area includes the Kitchener-Waterloo core. For locations beyond this zone (or outside a 20 km radius of our base), a travel fee of CAD$0.65 per kilometer round-trip will be applied. Any paid parking, tolls, or building access fees are billed at cost.

Our Services & Products

Q: What is the difference between a Cinematic Video and a 3D Virtual Tour?

A: That's a great question!

- A 3D Virtual Tour (like Matterport) is an interactive, self-guided experience. It allows potential buyers to digitally "walk through" the home at their own pace, exploring every room from a 360-degree perspective. It's like a 24/7 virtual open house.

- A Cinematic Video is a non-interactive, guided "highlight reel" of the property. We use creative camera movements, music, and editing to create an emotional connection and showcase the home's best features in a compelling, movie-like format.

Q: Do you offer drone (aerial) photography and videography?

A: Yes, we do! Our certified drone pilots can capture breathtaking aerial photos and videos that showcase the property's exterior, its location, and the surrounding neighborhood. Please note that drone services are subject to weather conditions and local flight regulations.

Q: Can I request a custom package?

A: Absolutely. you can build your custom package by visiting online booking portal.

And you can contact us so we will work with you to create a tailored package that provides exactly what you need.

After the Shoot: Delivery & Usage

Q: What is your turnaround time?

A: Our standard delivery times are: Photos and 3D tours within 24–48 hours; Cinematic videos within 48–72 hours. Rush delivery options are available for an extra fee.

Q: How will I receive my files?

A: Once your media is ready, you will receive an email with a link to a professional online gallery. From there, you can easily view all your photos and videos, download them in various resolutions (e.g., high-res for print, MLS-optimized for web), and share the gallery with your clients.

Q: Can you Photoshop items out of photos, like removing a car from the driveway or fixing a crack in the wall?

A: Our editing process includes color correction, sharpening, and enhancements. We generally do not digitally alter the physical condition or permanent features of the property. Minor object removals or complex retouching (like lawn repair or advanced sky replacements) may be possible for an additional revision fee; please inquire for a quote. We recommend the property is fully prepared beforehand.

Q: Do I get the RAW (unedited) files?

A: We do not provide RAW files. Our final delivered images are the result of our professional expertise in both shooting and post-production. You will receive professionally edited, high-quality JPG images ready for all your marketing needs.

Q: What are the usage rights for the photos?

A: You (the client who paid for the service) are granted a license to use the images and videos for the purpose of marketing the specific property for sale or lease. The copyright and ownership of the media remain with Peaceful films. The license is non-transferable and expires once the property has sold or the listing is terminated.
